You’re not alone

Hard days happen. A slip does not erase you. Stoic Days is a quiet companion — and real-world help exists when the app is not enough.

A supportive stance

If you’re keeping alcohol-free or substance-free days, you already know this isn’t a vibe — it’s work. Stoic Days was built by Nomis, a recovering alcoholic, to be honest without graphic war stories and without shame.

We won’t tell you you’re broken. We won’t celebrate your pain as content. We will remind you that the next day is still available, that Pause is free when an urge arrives, and that seeking clinical or crisis help is strength — not failure.

In the app

Use Pause. Reflect without drama. Reset kindly if you need to. Your recorded history isn’t thrown away for starting a new counter.

Outside the app

Friends, family, peer groups, and clinicians can matter more than any journal. The app is a tool — not a substitute for people who can respond in real time.

If you are in crisis

Important Stoic Days is not an emergency service, hotline, or medical provider. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number now.

For suicidal thoughts and to find local resources in your country, use the International Association for Suicide Prevention’s locator:

Find local resources on IASP

Hotline numbers change by country. IASP keeps a directory so you can find help where you are.

If you are stopping alcohol, opioids, or certain sedatives, withdrawal can be medically dangerous. Speak with a qualified clinician before making changes that could put you at risk.

FAQ

Is Stoic Days a treatment or clinic app?

No. It is a lifestyle companion — a practice journal with a day counter. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care.

Is the important stuff free?

Yes. Day count, pledge, reflection, basic savings, standard marks, Pause (90 seconds), kinder reset, and emergency help link are free. Plus adds optional depth.

What happens if I reset?

The app uses a kinder frame: The next day. Stopping now is still a win. A new counter does not erase what you have already recorded.

What is Pause?

When an urge arrives, Pause gives you ninety seconds with a breath and a Stoic line — then you decide. It is free on iPhone and available on Apple Watch.

Do you shame missed days?

No. Shame is a poor teacher. Reflection is for learning; reset is for continuing.

Where is my data?

Your practice stays on your device. See the Privacy page for plain-language details.
